Country’s Judiciary system including the high Court will be questionable to the workers and peoples if Sohel Rana,s Bail granted
Bail must be cancel and ensure the punishment of all those responsible for the murder of 1138 garment workers
Tokeen Hunger Strike of the Victims of the Rana Plaza and Garment Workers

National Garment Worker Federation (NGWF) and Akota Garment Workers Federation (AGWF) Tokeen Hunger Strike of the Victims of the Rana Plaza and Garment Workers held at next to Press-Club and opposite of the High Court today 08 May, 2023, Monday, 2023 demanding cancellation of bail of Rana Plaza owner Sohail Rana and confirmation of punishment forkilling 1138 workers including Sohail Rana, owner of 05 garments of Rana Plaza.
This event jointly organized by the NGWF and the AGWF.
President of the NGWF Amirul Haq Amin presided over the program and General Secretary of the AGWF conducted the program.

Rana Plaza orphans – lost father and mother – Vijay and Parvez, Widdow – Mrs. Lovely and Mrs. Hosne Ara, Seriously injured – Ms. Nilufa and Ms.Sheela.

More than hundred of workers including children who lost their parents, sisters who lost their husbands and 50 seriously injured workers participated in the program.
The speakers said: 1138 garment workers of 5 factories were killed in the R.P and 2,500 workers were seriously injured. Hundreds of children lost their parents. Many injured workers are crippled. Many injured workers are still unable to work. The affected workers families are still waiting for rehabilitation. Many injured workers are still roaming the streets.
In this situation, in the month of Rana Plaza’s 10th anniversary, Sohel Rana, the murderer of the workers was granted bail by the High Court. Later, under pressure, the bail was suspended and the bail hearing was fixed for May 8, 2023.

Note: There are 10 cases against Sohail Rana in Labor Court, 2 cases including murder under criminal law and 4 writ petitions in the High Court.
The speakers demanded immediate cancellation of the bail of Sohail Rana and exemplary punishment for all those responsible for the killing of 1138 workers, including Sohail Rana, the owner of 5factories and others.
